This is the perfect time to learn to coupon and save money, so let’s get started. Before you go shopping, you will need to get an organized. Here are a few steps to help:• Start collecting coupons. There are several places you can find coupons. My main sources are the newspaper and online.1. The number of newspapers you buy will depend on your needs; generally 1 newspaper per person in your household should be enough.2. Online sources include websites like www.coupons.com and manufacturer’s websites. You can typically print 2 coupons per device; laptop, phone, tablet, etc. Do not photo copy coupons, it is illegal!• Get organized. There are different ways to organize coupons. I prefer a binder but you can also use a wallet or even small photo albums.• Research store policies & learn how coupons work. Every store is different. You must read all your coupons and store policies carefully.• Look for the deals. Join groups on Facebook for couponing at your favorite stores search “Couponing at Target” or “Couponing at CVS”. You can also follow other couponing pages. I actually started following these pages for 3-4 months before I started couponing. I just watched what others were posting and learned from them. Before trying a transaction someone else has posted, please read your coupon and the store policy to make sure you are legally using the coupon.• Start saving money. This may seem like a lot of work. It will take time, organization, and patience but once you get started and have a system, it will go smoothly.Good luck and Happy Couponing!
